Safeguarding
We are committed to making Larkhall Baptist Church a safe space for everyone who comes through our doors. Part of this involves being transparent with our policies and making sure people know who to contact if there are any safeguarding concerns.

Larkhall Baptist Church is a member of Thirtyone:eight.
Thirtyone:eight is an independent Christian organisation, inspired to 'speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable' as it says in Proverbs 31:8.
Their vision is to cultivate a world where every child and adult can feel, and be, safe.
They achieve this by seeking
1. To equip
They will equip society with the knowledge and skills to create safer environments for children and adults at risk.
2. To empower
They will empower society to respond appropriately to those who are vulnerable or have experienced abuse.
3. To encourage
They will encourage society to stand against oppression and exploitation by informing legislation and striving to raise the standards in safeguarding practice.
We value our membership of Thirtyone:eight as they help and equip us to create a space that is safe for everyone.
Our Safeguarding Team
We have two Safeguarding Leads. They have the responsibility for making sure that the church is maintaining its duty of care to all who come through our doors. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with them.
Both of our safeguarding leads are supported by the church leadership, as well as a team whose sole purpose is to address and consider safeguarding issues within the life of the church.
